Meet our 2022 Honored Heroes

2022 New York City Honored Heroes

Every year the candidates participating in our Man & Woman of the Year campaign raise funds in honor of two local blood cancer survivors, our Honored Heroes. Candidates' and team members' time and efforts will help our honored heroes and thousands of children and adults in their fight against blood cancers.

Please welcome our New York City Man & Woman of the Year Honored Heroes, Hunter, and Peyton!

Hunter from New York was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL when he was two years old.  Hunter underwent almost three years of treatment. During this time family and friends rallied together to support Hunter through this difficult time. Now Hunter is a lively 10-year-old in fifth grade.

He loves staying active by playing baseball, basketball, and doing taekwondo! When he’s not playing sports or focusing on school Hunter loves to spend time with his brother Reid, sister Blake, parents, and their dog Ollie. His favorite treats are cookies and brownies.

Peyton from Brooklyn was diagnosed with ALL in 2018 when she was just two years old. Throughout her treatment she was supported by her mother Shanayia who never lost faith. Peyton is now a sensational five-year-old that loves to sing and dance whenever she gets the chance! Her favorite candy is Hersey chocolate.
